Missionary's visit

We had our missionary from Amazon visit us last week. They are in their 60's now but have been working to their full capacity for the kingdom of God in Amazon. Both of them have acquired Ph.D. in US and were working full-time in their professions. But, God has called him to Brazil as a full-time minister. Then they commited to serve the people in Amazon. Before they moved in Amazon in 2011, they visited us and had time with our House church and my family. Three years later, when we met the missionary again, I could tell how hard he worked because he seemed to have lost a lot of weight. We have met a couple of more times since then, but this time it was a great pleasure to welcome them again in the house church and introduce them to the members who have never met them before. The life that they shared to us - humble, hard-working, God-centered, serving others - was so influencing that I believe it must have given an impact in their minds. In Amazon, there are so many people, especially children who need to know about Jesus. The missionary's wife said she was called a fisherman for people but there were so so much fish!!! They evangelized Indios, created a christian community and then built a church. By doing this, they built 20 churches in the Indio villages in Amazon. They go in there by boat for several hours to a couple of days depending on the location to meet the children and teach them the bible. At some times, she said she has copied 220,000 sheets of paper to bring to the villages. More and more people are now coming to them from the churches nearby to learn the Bible teaching method. Although the missionary couple has worked beyond their full strength, God has kept them healthy, and provided for the wisdom that they needed at every critical time. He flourished their missions and expanded the kingdom of God toward the forest to the heart of Indios. Praise the Lord. Glory to God!
