Reflections on John 21

Recently our 6 LSF members have completed the first Living life study (13 week course). We praise our LORD who encouraged and strengthened them so that they were able to completed the course. Three of them were baptized this year, and one attendee got baptized after the course is done. We're so proud of them! Glory to God. Among those, Ms. Yumei Cui has always inspired me with her homework - reflections through the pure mind and humble heart. Here I want to share the last homework she did on John chapter 21. ----------------------------------------------------

John 21 Reflections

John 21 shows how the Risen Jesus continues to manifest His love, provision, and mission in the lives of His disciples. This chapter places special emphasis on the core of the faith life: loving the Lord, following the Lord, and fulfilling His commitment. Therefore, the following reflections can be drawn:

1. Submit to the Lord's guidance and experience His abundance

Are there times in our lives when we try hard but fail? Jesus reminds us that only by obeying His guidance can we experience abundant results. The Lord knows our needs and knows the best way.

2. The Risen Lord cares for our daily needs

Do we believe that the Lord's supply and presence is not limited to the spiritual level? He cares about our every detail, including the little things in life.

3. Love of the Lord is the foundation of the mission

Is love of the Lord the starting point of our service? True service must stem from a deep love for the Lord, not from duty or form.

4. Focus on following the Lord, not comparing others

Are we often distracted by other people's lives or circumstances? The path of faith is a relationship with the Lord, and we are to focus on the Lord's lead, not comparison or jealousy.

5. Jesus' works are infinite

Are we limiting our knowledge of the Lord? Do you often frame your master's abilities with your own experience and understanding?

Sum up

John 21 reminds us of several keys to the life of faith:

1. Obey the Lord's guidance and rely on Him instead of yourself.

2. Love of the Lord is the foundation of service, and mission comes from His commitment.

3. Focus on your faith journey and walk with the Lord.

4. Trust in the Risen Lord not only provides for spiritual needs, but also for every day of life.

May we respond with love to the Lord's call every day and faithfully follow His steps!
